This conceptual article develops a multidomain approach to interpreting inflammatory, oxidative-stress, nutritional, and metabolic biomarkers in palliative care. The central premise is that a measured abnormality has several distinguishable meanings: it can indicate a biological process, contribute to prognostic estimation, change over time, coexist with competing explanations, or become clinically relevant because it corresponds with symptoms, function, nutritional burden, or patient goals. These meanings should not be assumed to be interchangeable. Evidence from cancer cachexia, clinical nutrition, inflammatory prognostication, redox biology, body-composition research, and supportive care demonstrates substantial heterogeneity in biomarker definitions, measurement strategies, prognostic horizons, and responsiveness to intervention. The resulting interpretation framework therefore treats laboratory values as context-dependent signals whose clinical usefulness depends on concordance with disease state, treatment exposure, nutritional phenotype, temporal trajectory, bedside assessment, and patient-centred outcomes. This approach preserves the value of biomarkers while limiting overinterpretation of isolated measurements. It also provides a basis for distinguishing prognostic use from longitudinal monitoring and for identifying situations in which laboratory change should prompt reassessment rather than an automatic therapeutic response. %U https://journalinpc.com/article/biochemical-markers-of-inflammation-oxidative-stress-and-nutritional-status-in-patients-receiving-l09ch61rz27i8gg
